Because of the expense, we rarely eat out. On one recent evening, I decided to treat the kids to a meal at a nice restaurant. They had all done so well in their recent report cards. As we were sitting at a local restaurant waiting for our meal, an old gentleman walked up to our table, and he said, “Excuse me, madam. Are you paying for a meal for all of these children?” I just smiled quietly and answered, “Yes, sir.” Then he handed me a twenty-dollar bill and said, “This will help.” I tried to decline his money, but he just smiled, waved goodbye and walked away.
