W: Tom, hurry up, or there will be no seats available for us. M: Don’t worry. There will be a lot.

W: Waiter, can you come here for a moment?
M: Yes, how can I help you?
W: I’m afraid you’ve made a mistake. This isn’t what I ordered.
M: Oh, sorry. I must have confused the orders. I’ll check it.

M: So, what do you want to study when you go to college, Megan?
W: I’m not sure, Mr. Sanders. My dad would be excited if I studied medicine, but that sounds too difficult. I’ve always been interested in art, but I’m not sure if I want to be a professional artist.
M: Well, you could study art. That was my wife’s major, you know.
W: Really? What did you major in?
M: Oh, I always wanted to be a business man, and that’s what I studied in college. It’s not for everyone, but I liked I wish I had taken some other classes, though. If you have a chance to learn about a bunch of different things and then make a decision, I think that would be your best bet.
W: That’s good advice, Mr Sanders. Thanks!
M: My pleasure. If you want to talk more, come next door anytime you want.
W: I sure will. Thank you!

W: Oh, I’d better hurry. I only have 45 minutes before the stores close.
M: On the way, there are several restaurants. After you s hope, you can walk back along this street and choose a place to eat.
W: Thank you so much! You’ve been very helpful.
M: I like to see people visit my city, and I’m always happy to show them around.
Text 10
W: I’m Josie Davis, a mountaineer. I’m here to tell you something about climbing Mount Everest. I was first attracted by climbing in 2016 when, as a reporter, I was arranged to interview some professional mountaineers. Over the several days I spent with them, I began to understand the sense of freedom that mountaineering brings. Then about three years later, I gave up my job and joined the British Top Expedition. We trained at a local gym, which was the easy part. However, I found there were lots of things that frightened me about Mount Everest. That was one of the most difficult things for climbing. Anyway, I’ve managed to climb the mountain twice. The first time I went, as a reporter, I carried my camera all the way, but it wasn’t necessary. You can even forget showers on a mountain as well. On my second trip, I didn’t even take my toothbrush. But to get water, I had to melt snow, using the fuel that I brought with me. I’ve never reached the top of the mountain yet, but I’m not thinking of giving up. Instead, I’m planning.
