　　M: Oh, I saw her at the station last time, but my train was pulling in so I couldn’t stop to talk. I just waved and went to catch my train.

　　W: No. She has a new job. I guess she must be correcting her students’ papers now.

　　M: A little bit, but I was more into basketball and badminton.

　　W:I do actually enjoy playing badminton. I took part in a few school competitions.

　　M: You must have been good.

　　W: Maybe. Or maybe I was just the best of a bad lot. Anyway, I enjoyed it... Hey, we’ re missing the game by talking.

　　W: No, but it was a near thing. Let’s concentrate now.

　　M: Hello, this is Larry from Speakers International. I mainly want to make a follow-up on our reservation for our company’s anniversary party.

　　W: Oh, yes. We’ve already reserved the banquet hall under your name. It will start at 6:30 on Saturday night and last for five hours, right?

　　M: Well, now the party will only last for four hours so that the colleagues can have a good rest.
