听力原文
Text 1
M: When will you go back to school, Lisa?
W: Maybe next Monday. The doctor said I’m recovering fast. I’ll be able to go back home soon.
M: I’m very glad to hear that.
Text 2
M: Good morning, this is Marcus. I’d like to speak to Ms. Turner please.
W: I’m sorry. Ms. Turner is out of the office. Would you like to leave a message?
M: Yes, Ms. Turner is scheduled for an interview with me tomorrow at 9 a.m. I’d just like to make sure of it.
Text 3
W: I’d like to sign up for weekly voluntary work. I hear it’s a great activity to connect with the community.
M: It sure is, but obviously you’ ll have to put in a lot of hours. You must leave some room for scheduling your study time.
Text 4
M: Do you have any special plans for tomorrow? If you’d like, I can treat you to the movies tomorrow afternoon.
W: Well, I have a doctor’s appointment at noon, and I’m going to have dinner with my brother at seven. I could probably enjoy a movie in between, since it’s your treat.
Text 5
W: I know from your accent that you’ re from the south. For all I know, southerners prefer cooked rice, while northerners love the food made of wheat flour.
M: Yes. I had a hard time getting used to the food when I first came here.
Text 6
W: I saw Claire the other day in the supermarket. She looked good.
M: Oh, I saw her at the station last time, but my train was pulling in so I couldn’t stop to talk. I just waved and went to catch my train.
W: Yeah. She told me what happened that day.
M: Well, is she still working for the bank?
W: No. She has a new job. I guess she must be correcting her students’ papers now.
M: Good for her.
Text 7
M: It’s so cold. You must really love this game to come standing here to watch your team every week.
W: I love my team and I’m always there whenever they play. I won’t let a bit of bad weather stop me watching them.
M: Well I couldn’t do this every week. I’ve never been much of a football fan.
W: Didn’t you play when you were at school?
M: A little bit, but I was more into basketball and badminton.
W:I do actually enjoy playing badminton. I took part in a few school competitions.
M: You must have been good.
W: Maybe. Or maybe I was just the best of a bad lot. Anyway, I enjoyed it... Hey, we’ re missing the game by talking.
M: What happened? Did somebody score?
W: No, but it was a near thing. Let’s concentrate now.
Text 8
W: Dolphin Wonders. This is Mary. How may I help you?
M: Hello, this is Larry from Speakers International. I mainly want to make a follow-up on our reservation for our company’s anniversary party.
W: Oh, yes. We’ve already reserved the banquet hall under your name. It will start at 6:30 on Saturday night and last for five hours, right?
M: Well, now the party will only last for four hours so that the colleagues can have a good rest.
W: That’s okay.
M: By the way, do we get a meal discount if our group reaches 500 people? And can we have a free tour of the park?
W: Well, we only give discounts to groups of 1,000 or more, but you do get welcome drinks. Regarding the tour, the park has been temporarily closed because it is being rebuilt.
M:I see. Thank you very much.
Text 9
W: I got a message... Hey, man! Would you please take off your earphones?
M: Sorry. I was just enjoying a pleasant song. It’s from a documentary that I watched yesterday. Oh, what did you say, honey?
W: I said I got a message from Robert that our neighbor Daisy is coming back from abroad.
M: Really? We haven’t seen Daisy for about two years since she worked abroad.
W: Yes, she has been back to work in America.
M: That’s great news. How about throwing a party for her?
W: I think so. Robert is of the same mind. He said he would prepare flowers for Daisy.
M: Good, I’ll buy the food.
W: Then I’ll bring some of Daisy’s favorite juice.
M: OK. I’d like to ring Daisy now and ask her about the exact time of her return so as to pick her up at the airport then.
Text 10
David, this is Tim, your old college classmate. How is everything going? I’m in town for a meeting. I would have called before I came, but the meeting was supposed to last all day, and I didn’t think I’d have time to talk to you. It turns out that the meeting ended early. I’m hoping we could get together for a while, but my plane back to Columbus leaves at 8:30. We are all fine. Ellie likes her new job. Our kids are doing well in school. We are going to Italy on holiday this year. I’m looking forward to going back there again.
Remember what a great time we had when you and I went in 2014? I hope I can find that great restaurant up in the hills. Remember it? Anyway, we were excited about the trip. I hope you and Catherine are OK. Well, I don’t know what else to say on the machine, so I guess I’ll hang up now. I’ll try to give you another call from the airport before I leave. Really sorry I missed you. Give my love to Catherine. Take care. Bye!
