  听力原文

  Text 1

W: Robert, I heard you went to Melbourne. Did you see any interesting sights?

M: Sure. We visited a theater first, which was beautifully designed. It was not nearly as cool as the city hall, though. On my last day, I visited a museum, but I wasn’t very interested.

  Text 2

M: We need to keep watching the weather. If this continues, there could be flooding.

W: The news said the rain would turn to snow in the evening.

  Text 3

M: Hi Julia, I’m glad I’ve seen you. I love your gift. I wanted to say thanks at the party last night, but I didn’t see you there.

W: You’ re welcome! I left the party early because I had a headache. I had an early morning meeting yesterday.

  Text 4

W: I have to go out now, Paul. The dishwasher will stop running in an hour. Could you take the plates out after that?

  M: At three o’ clock?

W: Yeah. I’ve set the alarm. Listen out for it.

  Text 5

M: Have you heard about the new restaurant that opened up downtown?

  W: No, I haven’t. What’s it like?

M: It offers many vegetarian (素食的) choices, and the price of the food there is reasonable. You should go and have a try some day!

  Text 6

M: Have you noticed how the colors of the buildings change, depending on which area of England we are in?

W: Yes, I have noticed that. Is it related to the wealth of the area?

M: Not entirely. It’s much simpler than that.

W: Is it because of different climate patterns?

M: Actually, it’s mainly down to the local materials. Historically, red walls are in northwest England and pale yellow walls are in the southwest. They are all sourced from the local area.

W: That makes sense. I guess that’s why the buildings in my hometown are mainly white.

  Text 7

W: What do you think about this place?

M: Mixed feelings, really. In many ways it’s just what we need, but some things put me off.

  W: Such as?

M: Well, for a start, I would have preferred a house, rather than an apartment like this.

W: But it is big, isn’t it? Also, there are shops nearby and it’s not far from your work.

M: That’s true. But the view could be better. All you can see is the back of another building.

W: Personally, I would be prepared to put up with that. There’s a lovely kitchen, nice bedrooms and the rent isn’t so high. Why don’t we give it a try?

M: Maybe you’ re right. I suppose it has more good points than bad ones.

  Text 8

M: It’s Mary’s last day at work today. We’ re all going to the restaurant next door at lunchtime to say goodbye to her. Are you coming, Sandra?

W: Sorry Tom, I can’t. I promised a client on the phone yesterday that I would be here when he drops by at one o’ clock today.

M: Can’t you talk to him later — or tomorrow, even?

W: No, it has to be today.

M: Oh, that’s a shame. Mary would love you to be there.

W: I feel sorry, too. I wished her good luck in her new job, and I bought her a present.

M: We’ve arranged to have a big cake at the restaurant after lunch. Can you come and have a piece?

W: Sorry, I can’t. But you could bring me a piece back, if you don’t mind.

M: Yes, of course I will. Don’t work too hard while we’ re away.

  W: I’ll try not to.

  Text 9

M: Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest is a star of stage and screen, Tasmin Blake!

W: Hi, John. Thanks for having me.

M: You’ve been very busy since the last time you were on the show.

W: When was that? A year ago?

M: Almost two. Tasmin, tell us something about the latest project you are working on.

W: OK. I’m directing and starring in my own TV show, and it has been in development for a long time.

M: So tell us more about that.

W: Well, it’s based on a book by Sarah Marsh called House of Midnight. My production company bought the rights six years ago.

  M: That’s a long time.

W: I know, and since then we’ve been slowly writing the play and looking for a channel for it.

M: And it’s going to be shown on Channel One?

W: Yes! I’m very excited to work with them. They are the home of great original shows like For Someone and See the Moon.

M: Well, we have got some short videos of your new show. Can we show them to our audience?

  W: Of course.

  Text 10

I’ve loved cartoons since I was a child, and actually animated my own short film in middle school. However, I only really started thinking about a career in animation during my first year of high school, when the movie Ne Zha came out. Created by Coloroom, it represented a huge jump in both the quality and the worldwide success of Chinese animation. At the time of its release, it was the most successful non-English language film of all time! After that, the big studios such as Tencent and Bilibili began taking the animation industry much more seriously and funding bigger projects. This was what gave me the confidence to major in animation at college. In recent years, the industry has overcome many of the issues holding it back. For years, the main problem was animation quality, but this has improved greatly thanks to advancements in 3D modeling technology. We’ve also developed more of a unique homegrown animation style, rather than simply following American or Japanese character design. The main challenge now will be finding better methods by which we could tell Chinese stories to broader audiences in the global market. But I know we can do it. The future of Chinese animation is bright!
